UK Film Council's Cinema Extreme 2009
Cinema Extreme was created in 2002 by the UK Film Council’s New Cinema Fund and Film4 to encourage and develop filmmakers with a distinctive directorial voice and cinematic flair. Previously commissioned films have been shown at festivals around the world and won many awards from the Prix UIP Award for Best Short at the Edinburgh International Film Festival for Simon Ellis’ Soft to the Oscar® for Best Short Film for Andrea Arnold's Wasp.
Cinema Extreme is managed by The Bureau. The UK Film Council's investment in shorts is managed by Lifesize Pictures.

UK Film Council's Short Film Completion Fund 2009
Eclectic shorts made by entrepreneurial filmmaking talent. The Completion Fund provides finance and support for short films that show outstanding potential but lack the funds to finish. The scheme has supported more than 70 films that have gone on to win over 100 awards worldwide, including the BAFTA for Best British Short for Daniel Mulloy’s Antonio's Breakfast.
